In Christina’s World / Carbon Print on Glass

The photograph In Christina’s World is a part of the exhibition A New Earth / Silence. In the silence and isolation of deep forest I am dealing with the eternal spiritual questions. The image talks about one’s patterns that are destructive and negative, but we can’t part with them because they are part of who we are and they are representing a known, safe result, whereas breaking the negative patterns and changing our lives is frightening and unsecure. It is a human condition, I am pretty certain everyone understand what the image is about.

I never wrote any poetry, but in the silence of the mind, in the deep forest these words came out.

Nothing here and that there

I know everything, I already know and recognise everything,
no need to retrace steps,
nothing lies under the endlessly upturned stones.
But that nothing is now here –
while that there snarls from the dark and launches itself.
