This collodion negative I’ve made in 2014 and I’ve pulled out all my tricks to get the perfect wet plate collodion negative, to squeeze out all the tonal range and the sharpness this process invented in 1851 can provide. The result is astonishingly beautiful salt print. Please take a look of the enlargements of the image. Aside technical perfection, I love the motif and although I’m practising martial arts for two decades, this image is more a symbol of peace, time of peace, then an image about fighting. At least that’s how I see it.
It’s toned with gold toner.
